I thoought Groupon was going to change the world?

For all the media hype around Groupon and free press that they got, the main message was never stated. The business model was broken from day one. Two things were never spoken about. What is free is of no value, ie free advertising, and chasing deal hunters is not a long term profitable business model.

The stock as of this post is below $5.00 and early investors are leaving and salesforce is jumping ship as fast as they can.

So what is the next big thing that the media is going to anoint king of advertising? Stay tuned.
